AN ADVENTURE OF A LIFETIME / THE BEGINNING AND END

Founder, Alexander Lowther

I’ve been creating for as long as I can remember.

Some of my earliest memories are sitting with my sister, watching YouTubers and wondering what the world looked like beyond our small island off the coast of Spain. We started making our own videos, short films, YouTube uploads, anything we could think of. Most of it was rough, a bit cringeworthy in hindsight, but it gave me something more important than polish: a way to see.

I grew up in the Balearic Islands, surrounded by a mix of cultures, languages and constant movement. It taught me early on that the same place can feel completely different depending on who you are, how you speak, and what you notice. That idea has stayed with me—how people experience the world, and how moments can be captured in a way that feels real to them.

Over time, that curiosity turned into a camera. Photography became a way to slow things down. To look properly. To notice the details that most people pass by. I’ve spent years quietly building a body of work, shooting cities, landscapes, and everyday moments that feel honest and unfiltered. My work has since reached over a million views, but the process has always mattered more than the numbers.

HUMANS MADE THIS came from a simple question. One rainy evening, walking home with the Blade Runner soundtrack playing through my headphones, I found myself thinking about the kind of future we’re heading towards, one shaped by artificial intelligence, automation, and faux perfection. And yet, the moments that stay with us are never perfect. They’re human.

When I look through the lens now, that’s what I’m searching for. Not perfection. Not performance. Just something human enough to make you stop for a second and feel it.

Because in a world that’s becoming increasingly artificial, the most powerful thing we can make is something undeniably human.
